TEHRAN, Jan. 28 (MNA) – French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault is slated for an official visit to Tehran on Mon., Jan. 30, spokesperson of French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development announced.

Romain Nadal maintained that Ayrault’s visit aims for a reaffirmation of the full commitment of European countries to Iran’s nuclear deal dubbed the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

“The Foreign Minister of France underscores this important fact that all sides to the nuclear deal are now fully committed to its implementation in earnest,” he added.

Europe’s stress on commitment to the nuclear deal comes in the wake of rash and controversial remarks by the US President Donald Trump against the agreement.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Bahram Ghasemi had said during his press conference last Monday that Jean-Marc Ayrault will be accompanied by an economic delegation to head Iran-France joint economic commission’s meeting in Tehran.
